Find replacement seal information by brand
Use these articles as starting points when identifying an existing seal. A brand name or similar appearance alone does not confirm interchangeability.

What to check before choosing a replacement
• Equipment and installation: pump or mixer manufacturer, model, shaft or sleeve diameter, seal chamber dimensions, working length and gland arrangement.
• Seal configuration: component or cartridge construction, single or dual arrangement, rotation requirements and existing flush or support connections.
• Operating conditions: process liquid, solids content, temperature, pressure at the seal and shaft speed. Include normal duty and relevant start-up or cleaning conditions.
• Materials: seal face pair, elastomers and metal components must be suitable for the process and operating conditions. Do not infer the material grade from a photograph.
Prepare a replacement enquiry
Gather the original seal reference, equipment nameplate, dimensional drawing, clear photographs and required quantity. If a drawing is unavailable, identify which measurements are confirmed and which still need checking. Describe the existing leakage or damage so the replacement review can consider the cause of failure as well as fit.

Can a matching shaft size confirm compatibility?
No. Seals with the same shaft size can have different working lengths, seats, gland connections and operating limits. Review the complete assembly and duty, rather than selecting by diameter alone.
