Burgmann Replacement Seals: Models & Selection Guide

Looking for a Burgmann replacement seal? Start with the complete seal designation, installation dimensions and pump operating conditions. This guide links to replacement options for MG1, MG13, M3N, M7N and MFL85N and explains what to confirm before requesting a quotation. A matching model name or shaft diameter alone does not establish interchangeability.

Burgmann replacement seal models

Use the product pages below as a starting point for a dimensional and material review. Confirm the exact configuration against the original seal drawing or a measured sample before ordering.

Dimensions to check before selecting a replacement

Record the shaft or sleeve diameter, stationary seat outside diameter and thickness, housing bore, rotating unit dimensions and working length at installation. Include any locating pin, drive feature, sleeve step or retaining arrangement shown on the original drawing. Measure the complete assembly rather than only the worn seal faces.

Distinguish the free length of an uninstalled seal from its specified working length. Ask for a dimensioned replacement drawing and compare it with the pump seal chamber and original assembly. Follow the pump and seal installation instructions when confirming the final fit.

Confirm operating conditions and materials

Provide the liquid name, concentration, solids content, operating temperature, seal chamber pressure and shaft speed. Include cleaning fluids, flushing arrangements and any unusual startup or shutdown conditions. Select the face pair, secondary seals and metal parts for the actual service; dimensions alone do not establish chemical or operating suitability.

Use the limits and material options for the specific proposed configuration. Do not apply one model’s published limits to every Burgmann replacement seal or assume that separate maximum temperature, pressure and speed values can all be used together.

Information to send for a replacement seal quotation

  • Pump manufacturer, full model and equipment nameplate photo.
  • Original seal designation, including suffixes, and any drawing or part number.
  • Clear photographs of the rotating unit, stationary seat, markings and measured dimensions.
  • Operating conditions, required materials, quantity and requested delivery date.

Contact us with your seal details to request a replacement review and quotation. If the model cannot be identified, send the available measurements and photos so that missing information can be clarified before a replacement is selected.

Common replacement questions

Is the same shaft diameter enough?

No. Working length, seat dimensions, drive features, materials and operating conditions must also be checked. Similar-looking seals may have different installation requirements.

Are these original Burgmann seals?

This page concerns aftermarket replacement options. Burgmann and EagleBurgmann names and model references identify the original equipment being compared; they do not mean that the offered replacements are original-brand products.
