This M7N mechanical seal is an unbalanced, wave-spring component seal for industrial water pumps. Its design is independent of the direction of shaft rotation. The product is offered as a replacement reference for Burgmann M7N, Vulcan 1659S and AES M05S.

Model references are a starting point for selection. Confirm shaft diameter, working length, stationary seat dimensions and materials against the existing seal and pump drawing before ordering. The listed dimensional standard is EN 12756 (DIN 24960); the exact seat and installation dimensions must still be checked.

Sizes and Operating Limits

These are the published range limits, not a guarantee that all maximum values can be used together. Confirm the permitted duty for your fluid, temperature, pressure, speed and selected material combination.

Material Options

• Seal faces: carbon (Car), silicon carbide (SiC), sintered silicon carbide (SSiC) and tungsten carbide (TC).
• Secondary seals: NBR, EPDM, Viton and FFKM options.
• Spring and metal parts: 304, 316 and HAST.C options.

Specify the pumped liquid, concentration, solids and cleaning conditions so the face combination and elastomer can be checked for the actual service. The temperature range does not apply to every O-ring option.

How to Check the Replacement Size

1. Identify the pump model and the existing seal reference, including any suffix.
2. Measure the shaft or sleeve diameter at the seal position.
3. Compare the installed working length and available seal chamber space.
4. Check the stationary seat outside diameter, thickness and mounting arrangement using the drawing and size chart below.
5. Confirm the face materials, O-ring material and operating conditions before approving the replacement.

A matching shaft diameter alone does not establish interchangeability. Send clear photographs of the rotating assembly, stationary seat and markings if the original reference is uncertain.

Can I use the maximum temperature and pressure together?

Do not assume so. The allowable combination depends on the liquid and selected materials. Provide the normal and maximum operating conditions for a duty check.
