Description:
The M3N mechanical seal is a compact component seal designed for reliable pump shaft sealing where easy installation, stable face loading and flexible material selection are required. Its O-ring pusher design allows the seal faces to track normal shaft movement while maintaining contact pressure during pump operation.
For maintenance teams, the main advantage of the M3N style is practical interchangeability. It can be selected for many centrifugal pump, circulation pump and water treatment pump applications when the old seal is worn, leaking or no longer available from the original pump supplier.
Fluid Tech supplies M3N pump mechanical seal replacements in multiple face and elastomer combinations. The seal can be matched to clean water, light chemical liquid, oil, wastewater and other general industrial media according to actual operating conditions.
Operating Limits:
- Temperature: -20°C to 180°C, depending on elastomer and medium.
- Speed: up to 15 m/s.
- Pressure: up to 10 bar for standard unbalanced service.
- Common shaft size range: 10 mm to 100 mm.
- Rotation: independent of direction for common pump installation layouts.
Materials:
- Seal faces: Carbon, Silicon Carbide, SSIC, Tungsten Carbide.
- Secondary seals: NBR, EPDM, FKM/Viton, PTFE.
- Springs and metal parts: 304 or 316 stainless steel.
- Optional material combinations can be selected for chemical resistance, abrasion resistance or higher temperature stability.
